Committed to a brighter future
for DC’s youngest residents

A father, problem-solver, and entrepreneur,
Chris will bring a fresh perspective and strategy
to DC’s State Board of Education and expand early
childhood education opportunities for all.

Chris Martin

Ready to close the District’s achievement gap

With a family of educators and administrators, Chris learned the single biggest impact on a child’s education is access to great teachers. Today as the father of three young children, a District resident for nearly 20 years, and an advocate for local community and commerce, he is dedicated to ensuring a powerful and progressive future for DC’s children and families.

As part of the District’s State Board of Education, Chris will draw on his experience in business and coalition building to provide early childhood education resources proven to close the achievement gap, give parents peace of mind, and support educators during the coronavirus pandemic and beyond.

Vote for Progress

A vote for Chris Martin on November 3rd supports the following initiatives:

  • Making early childhood education more accessible than ever for all District residents.

  • Fully funding the Birth to Three for All DC Act for FY2022.

  • Providing support to our amazing teachers as they grapple with the challenges of the coronavirus pandemic.
